1880s VICTORIAN ITALIANATE HEALDSBURG ESTATE

6 bed · 5.5 bath · 6300 sqFT

Originally built in the 1880s with a large addition in the 1990s, restoring this home was truly a special experience.  Over a 2-year period of time, painstaking care was taken to honor the tradition and original architecture while modernizing the comforts of this home.  Every wall was taken down to the studs inside and out and completely rebuilt with all new systems.  An entirely new master suite was added including a sunroom, his and hers separate walk-in closets and master bath.  The chef's kitchen was completely overhauled to include dual sinks and dishwashers, and a La Cornue range with both gas and electric ovens and an induction cook top.  Additionally, dual Thermador wall ovens (electric and stem) were added as well as a wine refrigerator near the walk-in pantry. Both the formal Living Room and Parlor were beautifully finished with venetian plaster highlighting custom cabinetry and fireplaces.  Throughout the entire home, French White Oak hardwood floors were installed, and a three week finishing process was applied to produce the beautiful grey color. The entire home is automated, allowing the custom decorative lighting and recessed cans to work in conjunction with the exterior and landscape lighting, setting the appropriate scheme at all times. The home was built with original growth Redwood lumber, and every piece that was salvageable was pulled forward and displayed under the doorway awnings and lining the staircase down to the 4000 bottle wine cellar.
